The Kia EV9 made its official debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. As Kia India's most expensive model to date, the EV9 enters the premium electric SUV segment with bold aspirations and global recognition. Priced at an ex-showroom figure of ₹1.30 crore, the EV9 is positioned as a halo product for the brand. Built on Kia’s dedicated E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), the EV9 features a futuristic design, spacious three-row seating, and advanced Level 2 ADAS features.

 Its arrival helps boost Kia’s image in India, shifting from a mass-market manufacturer to a tech-forward brand with luxury car credentials. Globally acclaimed for its performance and practicality, the EV9 has helped Kia expand its EV portfolio and target a niche audience. By introducing the EV9, Kia India is not only expanding its product lineup but also reinforcing its presence in the fast-growing EV space.

Kia EV9 Price in India

The Kia EV9 price in India positions it firmly within the luxury electric SUV segment. The EV9 is available in a single, fully-loaded GT-Line AWD variant, with an ex-showroom price of ₹1,29,90,000. The Kia EV9 on-road price varies across different cities due to factors such as registration fees, insurance, and other local charges. For instance, in New Delhi, the on-road price is approximately ₹1,36,31,570, while in Bangalore, it is around ₹1,50,00,000. As its brand’s flagship electric vehicle, the Kia EV9 2025 serves as a halo product, enhancing the brand's image in the premium EV market.  

Kia EV9 Range

The Kia EV9 range is a pivotal aspect for prospective buyers evaluating its suitability for diverse driving conditions. In India, the EV9 is equipped with a 99.8 kWh battery pack, delivering an ARAI-certified range of 561 kilometers on a full charge. Internationally, the EV9's range is assessed using the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). The WLTP-rated range varies based on the drivetrain and wheel configuration. 

The Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Long Range Variant offers up to 349 miles (approximately 562 kilometers), while the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Variant (which is what we get in India), offers ip to 505 kilometers. In real-world driving scenarios, actual range figures can differ due to factors such as driving habits, terrain, and environmental conditions.
