After receiving a lot of criticism about the lack of features in its cars, Citroen has updated the C3—its entry-level offering in the Indian market—with the 2025 model year that brings a slew of new features. 2025 Citroen C3X — What’s new?
Citroen has launched the new C3X—essentially a top-spec variant based on the Shine variant of the existing C3. The lower variant lineup continues to follow the same nomenclature but the pricing has been revised. The new C3 range is now available for bookings at all Citroen dealerships across India, with deliveries starting by the first week of September 2025. Vehicles will be available for display starting mid-August.

2025 Citroen C3X features
The new C3X brings a slew of new features, a few of which include surround view camera (optional @ Rs 25,000), LED fog lights, proximity-based lock/unlock, push-button engine start-stop, Type-C charging ports, interior LED lighting, cruise control with limiter and an auto-dimming IRVM. All these feature additions turn the C3 from being poorly-specced to one of the segment’s most feature-packed offerings. Like before, it also comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster and other features.

2025 Citroen C3X powertrain details
The Citroen C3 offers two engine options — a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol, with both being the 3-cylinder engines. The naturally-aspirated engine produces 82PS of power and 115Nm of torque whereas the turbocharged engine produces 110PS of power and 190Nm (205Nm with the automatic) of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, with the latter two exclusive to the turbo petrol engine only. Citroen also offers a dealer-level retrofit CNG option with the normal petrol manual variants with a price premium of Rs 93,000.
