Celebrating 50 years of the BMW 3 Series, the German carmaker has launched the BMW 3 Series LWB 50 Jahre Edition and the BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition in India. Both cars have just 50 units for grabs. The BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition is priced at Rs 64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition is priced at Rs 76.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This translates to a premium of Rs 1.40 lakh for the 330Li M Sport, and Rs 1 lakh for the M340i over their respective standard configurations. The 50 Jahre Edition cars can only be booked via BMW’s official website.

BMW 3 Series Jahre Edition details

The 330Li M Sport Jahre gets a blacked-out front grille, window piping, diffuser, and tailpipes on the outside, and carbon fibre trim, head-up display, and 3D augmented navigation on the inside. The M340i gets blacked-out M badges, carbon fibre trim, red brake callipers, and more. BMW has also thrown in a 1:18 BMW 3.0 CSL scale model with the M340i.

BMW 330Li and BMW M340i engine specs

There’s no change on the powertrain front on either of the Jahre Edition cars. The 330Li M Sport comes powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that puts out 258PS of maximum power and 400Nm of peak torque. The M340i comes with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 374PS of maximum power and 500Nm of peak torque. Both engines come with 8-speed torque convertor units.
