The Tata Harrier EV is an upcoming electric SUV based on the popular Harrier but based on Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture. The electric SUV offers a large battery pack that is expected to offer a driving range of 500 km per charge. It will come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. This not only makes it Tata’s most capable electric SUV, but even more capable than every other rival.
On the design front, the Harrier EV looks a lot like the ICE sibling but gets some aerodynamic tweaks and a closed-off grille. The interior shares similarities with the ICE-powered model but gets upgraded EV-specific graphics for the infotainment unit. It is expected to support fast charging, allowing for an 80% charge in under an hour. Once launched, it will rival the Mahindra BE6, Mahindra XEV9E, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric.
Tata Harrier EV Price
The Tata Harrier EV price in India is expected to start at ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom). As a premium electric SUV, it will offer a 500 km range, AWD capability, and fast charging. The expected price positions it competitively against the electric SUVs from Mahindra, MG, and Hyundai. The final on-road price will vary based on location, due to factors such as the local taxes, registration, and insurance. With a bold design, advanced tech, and Tata’s proven EV expertise, the Harrier EV could become one of the more popular models in the ₹20-30 lakh electric SUV segment.
Tata Harrier EV Specifications
A highlight of the 2025 Tata Harrier EV specifications is the carmaker’s Gen 2 EV platform. The Harrier EV will feature a high-capacity advanced battery pack, expected to deliver a range of around 500 km per charge. The SUV will even offer a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. This will be a first-in-segment feature. Moreover, the electric Harrier will support fast charging, which will help it achieve 80% charge in under an hour. The Harrier EV will retain its bold design, albeit, with some EV-specific updates. Also, V2L and V2V charging capabilities are confirmed, alongside advanced connected car tech and OTA updates.
Tata Harrier EV Rivals
The Tata Harrier EV will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE6, MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV9E, and even select variants of the BYD Atto 3. With a 500 km range, AWD capability, and premium features, the Harrier EV should become a strong contender in India's fast-growing electric SUV market.
