The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Flex-Fuel made its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. It showcases Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to greener mobility. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Flex-Fuel is expected to be India's first ethanol-powered hatchback. It will be a greener alternative to the traditional petrol model. With a flex-fuel engine compatible with E20-E85 ethanol blends, it promises lower emissions and cost-effective running. 

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Flex-Fuel price is expected to be around ₹8.5-9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The on-road price may vary based on state taxes and subsidies for ethanol-powered vehicles. With India pushing for ethanol adoption, this WagonR could even benefit from some subsidies, thereby making its on-road price more lucrative.

Transmission options may include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. Other key features include fuel system modifications, a corrosion-resistant engine, and an optimized ECU for ethanol compatibility. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Flex-Fuel rivals in India will include upcoming flex-fuel cars from brands like Hyundai, Tata, and Toyota, as well as CNG-powered hatchbacks like the Maruti Celerio CNG, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG, and Tata Tiago CNG. It will also compete with entry-level EVs like the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet.
