Daman and Diu RTO vehicle information: Check vehicle details by number plate

Daman and Diu, with around 3.9 lakh residents, has set up 4 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in its 2 districts to facilitate vehicle registrations, provision of learners and permanent driving licences, and other RTO services. The RTOs in Daman and Diu are mandated to ensure adherence to the guidelines stipulated in the Indian Motor Vehicles Act of 1988 throughout the state.

Daman and Diu Vehicle Registration Process

You are required to register your vehicle within seven days of purchase. To register your vehicle, you will need the following documents:

2. Proof of address

3. Tax clearance certificate

4. Additional documentation from the state government is necessary

5. Sales Certificate

6. Insurance certificate

7. Customs Clearance certificate (for imported vehicles)
