Andaman and Nicobar Islands RTO vehicle information: Check vehicle details by number plate

Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with around 4 lakh residents, has set up 3 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in its 3 districts to facilitate vehicle registrations, provision of learners and permanent driving licences, and other RTO services. The RTOs in Andaman and Nicobar Islands are mandated to ensure adherence to the guidelines stipulated in the Indian Motor Vehicles Act of 1988 throughout the state.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands Vehicle Registration Process

Your vehicle needs to be registered within 7 days from the date of invoice in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. To complete the vehicle registration, you will need to visit the RTO in your area, along with the following paperwork:

1. Sales Certificate Form 21

2. A valid and active insurance certificate

3. A clearance certificate (if the vehicle is imported)

4. Proof of address

5. A tax clearance certificate
