Following the launch of the Volkswagen Taigun under its INDIA 2.0 programme, VW launched the Virtus sedan to cater to C-segment buyers. With the Volkswagen Virtus facelift just around the corner, here’s what we expect from the updated sedan.
As is the case with most facelifts, the Virtus is likely to get some styling tweaks such as new headlamps with a connected lightbar, new tail lamps, as well as redesigned bumpers. The side profile might not see visible changes.
The Volkswagen Virtus interior has a sorted layout and there’s not much that’s needed to be changed there. There might be a couple of new themes or minor styling changes though.
The aspect where the Virtus facelift is expected to feature the most number of changes is the feature list. Expect the updated Virtus to get 360-degree cameras, ADAS functionalities, a head-up display, and more.
Powertrain options are likely to remain the same, which include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a manual and a torque convertor, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a manual and a DSG.
The upcoming Volkswagen Virtus India launch is expected to take place by the end of this year, and the updated car is likely to be priced at a premium of a few thousand rupees.
