Toyota Vellfire waiting period

To quickly get done with the matter that has to be covered in this story, the current Toyota Vellfire waiting period stands at approximately 7 months, according to the official Toyota India website. Let’s get to the interesting part now; what makes the Vellfire such a popular vehicle?

Living room on wheels

The Toyota Vellfire boasts of a super comfortable cabin with the middle row being the place that you would want to be in. The seats in this row get ventilation, massaging function, memory function for the electrically adjustable settings, arm rests, extendable leg cushions, cup holders and retractable trays.

Spacious third row

Sitting in even the third row would not make you feel shortchanged in the Toyota Vellfire as it offers a lot of space in this row with manual adjustment settings. This makes the Vellfire suitable for long distance travel for even 6 to 7 people.

Negligible competition

Another factor that has worked in favour of the Vellfire is the lack of competition in the Indian market. The Kia Carnival was discontinued back in 2023, though it will soon make its way back to India. The Lexus LM350h costs almost twice as much as the Vellfire and its deliveries just began two months ago.

Expensive luxury sedans

Cars have gotten more and more expensive over the past few years, especially high-end luxury cars. The price of an S-Class today begins at Rs 1.77 crore and a 7-Series demands even a few more lakhs. The Audi A8L costs considerably less than these two sedans but the Vellfire Hi still undercuts it by around Rs 12 lakh, while offering more comfort and seating capacity. The VIP Executive Lounge variant is priced at Rs 1.33 crore.

Hybrid powertrain

The 2024 Toyota Vellfire powertrain comprises a 2.5-litre petrol engine, a CVT, a battery pack, and a pair of electric motors, one on each axle. This petrol-hybrid setup generates a combined output of 200PS of power. Toyota hasn’t disclosed the combined torque metric but the engine alone generates 240Nm of it. The hybrid powertrain ensures optimum fuel efficiency, smooth ride and power on demand.

Safety, reliability and practicality

One aspect where the Vellfire undeniably has the upper hand is practicality. It provides a comfortable commuting experience for up to 7 people even on long routes. Reliability is not an issue to be concerned about, it being a Toyota. A robust body shell and advanced safety features make the Vellfire a safe choice too.
