Volkswagen has some new car launches planned for the Indian market for the upcoming months. Here are the ones that we expect to be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo.
Volkswagen is likely to display its upcoming first electric car in India, the Volkswagen ID.4. While we have seen the car before, it is expected that VW will soon launch it here, in the vicinity of the upcoming Skoda Enyaq India launch.
The Tiguan SUV has been updated for certain international markets, and the same is expected to be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025. It is likely that the new Tiguan will be offered with the same powertrain in India as the current model.
The Tiguan and Virtus are the cars that are keeping the German brand alive in India, and Volkswagen might launch a special edition for these cars at the Expo. Interestingly, VW sells more units of the Virtus than the Taigun SUV every month.
The 7-seater version of the VW Tiguan, now called the Volkswagen Tayron, is also expected to make its debut in India sometime in 2025. It will be sold in place of the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace, which was discontinued from our markets back in 2021.
