While Tesla cars have been spotted on test on multiple occasions in the past, the new spy shots reveal the latest Model Y being tested on our roads, hinting towards an imminent launch.
The model that was spotted was the latest facelifted Model Y, which is already on sale in global markets and is also likely to make its way to the Indian market. Out of all Tesla models, the Model Y holds the most relevance for India.
The new Tesla Model Y deliveries will begin in June in the UK, therefore, expecting anything earlier than June for the Indian market would be too optimistic. It could launch in India in late 2026.
The key design elements of the Model Y include split LED headlights up front, along with a connected LED lightbar, sleeker alloy wheels and a new connected LED light bar at the rear. It also offers a revamped interior and new features for the rear passengers.
Coming to the specifications, the Model Y is offered in three powertrain options — Standard RWD, Long Range RWD and Long Range AWD. The long range model offers a claimed driving range of up to 622km on a single charge.
