An electric version of the popular Tata Harrier SUV has been much awaited, and a pre-production version of the car was also showcased at last year’s Auto Expo. Latest reports suggest that the Harrier EV might be launched in India soon, and is expected to be showcased prior to that at the Delhi Motor Show.
We expect Tata Motors to reveal the final production-ready version of the Harrier EV at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo that is to be held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from January 17-22, 2025.
Tata cited, in one of its financial meetings, that the carmaker plans to launch the Harrier EV in India by March 2025. The SUV was also recently spied being tested under disguise.
The Tata Harrier EV isn’t likely to look starkly different from its ICE counterpart, just like what we have noticed in case of other Tata cars in India such as the Curvv and Nexon duos. There will be subtle changes to the exterior such as a closed front grille and EV badging to differentiate it from the regular Harrier.
There haven’t been any revelations about the battery and motor specifications from the carmaker yet, but spy shots have suggested that the Harrier EV shall be launched in both RWD and AWD configurations. Expected Tata Harrier EV range lies somewhere around 500 kilometres.
Other notable cars that are to be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 include the Hyundai Creta Electric, Hyundai Ioniq 9, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, new Skoda Superb, new Skoda Kodiaq, Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ technology, new generation BMW X3, and Porsche Macan EV, among others.
