MG is set to showcase its first electric roadster in India, the MG Cyberster, which has also been previously seen at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. MG will now reveal all the specifications of the car in the upcoming weeks.
The global-spec Cyberster comes with two powertrain options — a single-motor option producing 340PS and 475Nm, and a dual-motor option producing 503PS and 725Nm, both paired to a 77kWh battery pack.
The Cyberster gets the looks of a sportscar with its sleek silhouette and low setup. The body features curvy panels, with arrow-shaped tail lights and aggressively-styled dual-tone alloy wheels. There’s a long bonnet, two seats, and a retractable roof. Oh, by the way, it gets scissors doors too!
The cockpit is built with a focus on the driver, featuring a curved separation that houses four screens for various functions including climate control, instrumentation, vehicle settings, and more. There’s a dual-tone finish inside the cabin, along with a flat-bottom steering wheel.
The Cyberster will be the first MG car in India to be sold via its new network of premium dealerships, known as MG Select. These dealerships are to be opened in 12 major cities in the first phase.
MG will reveal the Cyberster in January 2025, probably at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which is scheduled to take place from 17-22 January, 2025. It might also launch the car at the same date. Stay tuned to CARS24 Autoverse for updates!
