Following the launch of the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift, MSIL is all set to introduce the updated Maruti Suzuki Dzire to the market. Recently, the upcoming Maruti Dzire was spied undisguised.
Despite Maruti Suzuki citing impracticality as the main reason for not providing sunroofs on their cars, market demand has ultimately triumphed over logic and the new Dzire has been spotted with a sunroof.
The new Suzuki Dzire does not share much with its hatchback counterpart in terms of exterior styling. It features more sharp lines rather than smooth curves with a well-defined shoulder line and sharp tail lights.
The upcoming Dzire shares its engine with the new Maruti Swift, which is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that puts out 81PS of power and 112Nm of peak torque. It comes paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. There might be a CNG option too down the line.
The spy shots also reveal key features such as LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, LED fog lights, a shark fin antenna and 360-degree cameras.
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be launched in India in November 2024 and will compete with other compact sedans such as the new Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
