The e Vitara is the first Maruti Suzuki electric car in the world, and it is soon going to make its India debut. The e Vitara is based on a modified version of Suzuki’s Heartect platform, and will be made available in both FWD and 4WD configurations in certain global markets.

Maruti e Vitara India launch

The Maruti e Vitara shall be revealed in India at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Auto Expo that is scheduled to happen from January 17-22, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The official launch shall take place soon thereafter, but the date is yet to be disclosed by Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti e Vitara specs

The e Vitara will globally be available in three powertrain options, the details of which can be seen in the table above. The India-spec model is expected to be available in just the FWD configuration.

Maruti e Vitara dimensions and design

The e Vitara has been designed with a fresh approach, giving it a premium-looking body and modern elements. It measures 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width, 1,635mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700mm. Tyre sizes range from 18-inches to 19-inches.

Maruti e Vitara features and interior

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara interior looks a lot more upmarket and fresh when compared to other Maruti cars in India. It gets a dual-screen setup on the dashboard, an ADAS suite, wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, fabric + leather/leatherette upholstery, and more.
