The e Vitara is the first electric car in the world from the house of Maruti Suzuki, and was revealed in India at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo earlier this year.
Earlier expected to be launched around March-April 2025, the Maruti e Vitara launch in India has been delayed to September 2025, as confirmed by the carmaker.
Maruti Suzuki will exclusively manufacture the e Vitara at its plant in Gujarat, which will serve the Indian market as well as over 100 global markets.
The Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced northwards of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), with key rivals including the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Mahindra XEV 9e, Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Tata Harrier Electric.
While we won’t get the AWD Maruti e Vitara variants in India, the carmaker will offer two powertrain options, the details of which are given in the table above.
Key Maruti Suzuki e Vitara features include a dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrumentation, ventilated seats, a premium sound system, powered driver’s seat, ADAS functionalities, and more.
