The Tasman is Kia’s first pick-up truck, the launch of which has been long-awaited now. Kia has finally announced the date of unveiling of this upcoming pick-up truck.
The Kia Tasman shall be unveiled to the public on October 29, 2024 at the Jeddah International Motor Show in Saudi Arabia.
The upcoming Tasman pick-up truck will be first sold in some Middle Eastern countries, certain African countries, Australia, and at its home base in South Korea. There are no reports of the Tasman making its way to India yet.
The Kia Tasman is expected to come equipped with a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine that also does duty on certain other Kia models around the world. Exact specifications of the powertrain are yet to be revealed by Kia.
Teasers from Kia hint at a classic boxy pick-up design with vertically-stacked LED headlamps akin to the ones seen on the new Kia Carnival. We shall be able to see the truck in the flesh on October 29.
While the ICE-powered Kia Tasman will go up on sale sometime in early 2025, an all-electric version of the same is expected to follow in 2027 as part of Kia’s electrification plans.
