The upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV has been spotted again during testing. It's said that this MPV will be an extension of the Kia Carens, offering more features and a higher price. While Kia is expected to keep the Kia Carens in its lineup, this new MPV will launch with a different name and will sit above the Carens.
The upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV was heavily camouflaged in the recent spy photos, but from both past & present images, it's expected to feature connected LED lighting at the front, lighting cluster below, pull-out type door handles, roof rails, and a new set of alloy wheels. The overall silhouette looks similar to the Kia Carens. At the rear, a connected taillight is also expected.
The upcoming 7-seater Kia MPV is expected to feature dual 12.3-inch screens, 5-inch climate control screen, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front & rear seats, Level 2 ADAS, EPB with Autohold, 360-degree camera, and more.
The upcoming Kia MPV is expected to come with two engine options: a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Both engine options are expected to come with manual and automatic gearbox choices.
The upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV with an EV powertrain is expected to come in a single-motor layout. This MPV might offer two battery pack options—42kWh and 51.4kWh.
The launch of the Kia 7-seater MPV with both ICE and EV powertrain is expected to take place in April and June this year.
