The Staria is Hyundai’s luxury MPV that goes against other luxury vans such as the Toyota Vellfire, Kia Carnival, and the upcoming MG M9.
Hyundai has showcased the Staria at its pavilion at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, alongside other Hyundai cars such as the Ioniq 9, Creta Electric, and the Creta Flex Fuel.
Globally, the Staria is available in multiple seating configurations including 5-seater, 7-seater, 9-seater, and even 11-seater options. The model showcased at the Expo was the 7-seater version.
The Staria gets the body of a typical van with a large greenhouse and a sloping front face. It gets a thin LED bar at the front and long vertical lights at the rear.
The interior of the Staria looks rather plush with key Hyundai Staria features including a Bose premium sound system, ambient lighting, an ADAS suite, dual-pane sunroof, and more.
The model showcased at the Motor Show got a 3.5-litre petrol engine (272PS, 331Nm), but globally, a 2.2-litre diesel engine (177PS, 431Nm) is also offered on the luxury van, along with a hybrid powertrain.
Hyundai has no immediate plans of launching the Staria MPV in India and is currently gauging customer interest. Expect the Staria to be priced upwards of Rs 60 lakh.
