Stellantis, parent company of the Jeep brand, has released a teaser image of the upcoming new generation of the Compass SUV. The new Jeep Compass will make its global debut in 2025.
The upcoming Jeep Compass will be the first Jeep SUV to be underpinned by Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which also underpins cars such as the Peugeot E-3008. The STLA M platform shall also support more C and D segment cars in the upcoming years.
Stellantis has said that the new Compass will be available with a variety of propulsion options — electric, hybrid, as well as internal combustion. The STLA M platform is flexible and is designed to support all these types of powertrains.
As seen in the teased image, the upcoming Compass SUV shall get a more upright hood and protruding wheel cladding. Strong character lines are seen across the side profile along with redesigned front and rear lights.
As per Autocar India, the new Jeep that is being developed based on the STLA M platform, does not meet commercial viability for the Indian market and Jeep shall continue selling the current generation of the Compass here albeit a facelift might be seen.
Jeep has four SUVs presently on its portfolio in India — Jeep Compass, Jeep Meridian, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
