Toyota Innova Hycross waiting period

The Toyota Innova Hycross has been the most sought after MPV in its segment, hence commanding a waiting period of 4-6 months for the petrol variants, and 6-8 months for the hybrid variants. Here are the top alternatives that you might want to consider if you need a car sooner.

BYD eMax 7

Launched in late 2024, the new BYD eMax 7 is an electric MPV that is available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. It gets a respectable claimed range of 420km (Premium) / 530km (Superior), and is priced between Rs 26.90 lakh and Rs 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Mahindra XUV700

If you prefer an SUV-ish body style, then the Mahindra XUV700 would be a decent option to consider. The XUV700 offers plenty of features along with a comfortable ride quality, thanks to its independent suspension setup at the front and the rear, as well as well-designed seats.

Hyundai Alcazar

The updated Alcazar promises to be a well-rounded package, with features such as electric boss mode, ventilated seats for the first two rows, bolstered headrests in the second row, and more. And it wouldn’t hurt saving a couple lakh rupees in the process.

Honda City hybrid

In a case where you’re buying the car to be chauffeured around, and you do not need all those extra seats, the Honda City would be a good choice to consider. It undoubtedly has the best rear seat comfort in its segment, top-notch reliability, and, thanks to its hybrid system, impressive fuel economy.

Toyota Innova Crysta

If you are too adamant about that Toyota badge, why not consider going for the Innova Crysta? The only turn down might be the diesel manual powertrain, which is the only option that’s available on the MPV now.

Tata Safari

You can also consider the Tata Safari, which comes equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, a ton of features, and a muscular and appealing design. But it might not be as reliable as the Toyota.
