Thanks to its diversified range of products—from the legendary Fortuner to the humble Glanza—the Japanese carmaker is consistently on the rise in the Indian market.
The Fiscal Year 2024-25 turned out to be the best ever for the Japanese carmaker, with sales touching 3,337,148 units, registering a growth of 28% over last year.
Toyota sold 30,043 units in March 2025, reflecting an 11% YoY growth over 27,180 units in March 2024. Domestic sales stood at 28,373 units while export sales stood at 1,670 units.
SUV & MPV sales increased by 35%, solidifying Toyota’s presence in the segment. Exports grew by 59% YoY, reinforcing India's role as a key global export hub for Toyota. Expansion in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities boosted customer reach and sales.
Over 40% of Toyota Kirloskar Motor comes from shared products with Maruti Suzuki, namely the Glanza, Taisor, Hyryder and Rumion. It’s safe to say that Toyota has benefitted immensely from the alliance with Suzuki.
