As the official teaser reveals, this monster will have circular LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs, LED tail lights and fog lights, flanked by a 6-slot radiator grille. It also gets a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels with machine-cut design, which along with the outside rearview mirrors, give the SUV a more sturdy and refreshed look.
This new SUV is likely to have a ton of new features like a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, steering-mounted controls, push-button start, automatic climate control, and more. Other innovative and comforting features like a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and auto-dimming IRVM, are expected to be offered with selected variants of the new Mahindra Thar ROXX.
The new Thar ROXX showcases its 5-door body style and the video also reveals the unique placement of rear door handles on the C-pillars. Furthermore, it features chunky wheel arch cladding with amber turn indicators.
The new 2024 Mahindra Thar ROXX, just like its 3-door counterpart, is expected to get two engine options — a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be available to choose from along with rear- and four-wheel-drive.
The Thar ROXX is expected to come with an extremely capable 4x4 setup, with good approach and departure angles.
It is likely to carry over the Scorpio N’s suspension setup and a longer wheelbase, including the frequency-dependent dampers, allowing for better handling and manoeuvrability.
We are also expecting the Mahindra Thar 5-door top model to be equipped with ADAS Level-2, 6 airbags and other standard safety features that come with 3-door Thar, such as ESP, hill hold and descent control, roll-over mitigation, ABS with EBD, roll cage, ISOFIX child seat mounts and more.
