The Exter is Hyundai’s smallest SUV, at least that’s what Hyundai wants us to believe. But in all honesty, it is a tall and raised hatchback. But that doesn’t imply that you shouldn’t consider buying it. Here are some reasons to buy, or to consider buying, the Hyundai Exter in 2024.
The Hyundai Exter is a suitable car for city commutes, owing to its compact size, spacious interiors, and acceptable mileage figures. It isn’t going to bother you much if your primary objective is to travel within the city.
The Exter might not give you the sense of space when you look at it from the outside, however, there’s enough space inside the cabin for four adults to travel comfortably. There’s good amount of headroom and legroom on offer. Accommodating 5 adults might be a bit of a hassle though.
As you would expect from a Hyundai, the Exter is loaded with features to the brim (well, to the tall roof in this case). It gets a sunroof, factory-fitted dashcam, footwell lighting, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, TPMS, and what not. You would not be left wanting more, at least at the price tag that the Exter carries with itself.
The Hyundai Exter comes with 6 airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat mounts, TPMS, rear-view camera, and hill-start assist.
Comparing it to other cars in its segment, the Hyundai Exter does offer a premium feel, both at the inside and outside. It gets a modern design for the exterior, and premium finishes for the interior.
The Hyundai Exter takes on rivals like the Tata Punch and the Citroen C3 in the Indian market and is priced from Rs 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant.
