Debuting Suzuki’s EV technology, the e Vitara marks the brand’s entry into the electric car market. Here are the top 5 things that are first for a Maruti car with the new e Vitara SUV.
Stating the obvious first, the e Vitara happens to be the first electric car, not just in India, but in the world, from the house of Suzuki Motor Corporation. The electric SUV is based on the company’s Heartect-e platform.
The e Vitara is the first Maruti Suzuki car in India to feature a connected screen setup for infotainment and instrumentation. While such a setup is common on new cars in India, it is a first for Maruti.
The e Vitara is also the first Maruti car in India that will be offered with the option of an ADAS suite. Maruti cars in India haven’t been well-known for their safety lately, but the inclusion of ADAS should help changing that notion.
The Maruti e Vitara is the only production Maruti Suzuki car currently on sale in India to come equipped with an independent multi-link rear suspension, which is rarely seen in this segment.
Even cars such as the Suzuki Kizashi and the old Grand Vitara did not get 18-inch alloy wheels, which can be seen on the production-spec 2025 Maruti e Vitara.
