As per our sources, Honda is likely to launch the new Amaze in either December 2024 or early 2025 and will position it as a strong rival to cars like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Hyundai Aura.
If you are considering buying a new compact sedan soon, here are top 5 reasons why you should delay your purchase and wait for the new Amaze.
The new-gen Amaze will be underpinned by the same platform that underpins the new City and the Elevate which means it will not only grow in size but will also boast a longer wheelbase. Needless to say, there will be significant updates in terms of exterior styling including an updated front fascia, new alloy wheels and a fresh rear profile.
Inside too, the changes will not only be reserved to subtle cosmetic updates but the new Amaze will get an all-new dashboard layout with a new floating infotainment system, updated HVAC controls, a new instrument cluster and different colour schemes to give the cabin a more premium and upmarket look.
In addition to a fresh design, the new Amaze will be offered with an extensive features list. The new features expected to be offered with the Amaze include a free-floating infotainment system similar to that of the Elevate, semi-digital instrument console, wireless charging pad, auto climate control, connected car tech, auto-dimming IRVM, 6 airbags as standard, and more.
The new platform will not only help the Amaze offer more space inside the cabin, but Honda is also likely to tune the suspension to offer a better ride-handling balance. Unlike before, the Amaze is also expected to offer better rear-sear comfort and NVH levels inside the cabin.
Just like the present-gen Amaze, the new Amaze is expected to get the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC motor capable of delivering 90hp and 110Nm of maximum torque. This engine will be offered with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission. Furthermore, Honda is also likely to offer an option of factory-fitted CNG powertrain option with select variants.
