Honda has given the Amaze a generational update, with a revamped styling, updated interior, added features, and more improvements. Here are the top 5 changes that the new Honda Amaze gets over the previous generation.
The new Amaze gets a completely redesigned exterior with the front face resembling that of the Elevate and the rear end similar to that of the City. Honda has borrowed styling cues from cars above the Amaze’s segment but has adapted them to create a cohesive look. The side profile features a strong shoulder line that’s reminiscent of the outgoing model.
The dashboard layout has been revised with a floating touchscreen and AC vents below, with the HVAC controls further down the panel. It gets rectangular vents, a designer strip across the length, beige upholstery, and a neatly designed cabin overall.
Honda claims to have altered the gear ratios for the manual, while also making tweaks to the CVT, in order to deliver better on-road performance, as well as an improvement in fuel efficiency. The new generation Amaze gets a wider cabin, which is the best-in-class, boasting of superior rear seat space and comfort. Also, the wheelbase is 20mm more than all its direct rivals, further enhancing the space inside the cabin.
The updated Amaze gets a camera-based Level-2 ADAS suite, with features such as adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. This makes the Amaze the most affordable car in India with ADAS.
