Hyundai Creta retains the top spot in SUV sales

In October 2024, the Hyundai Creta topped the sales chart as the best-selling SUV, with 17,497 units sold. This marks a significant increase from the 13,077 units sold in October 2023, reflecting a 34% year-over-year growth.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza & Fronx follow as top-selling 

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured the second spot as the highest-selling model with 16,565 units sold in October 2024, showing a modest 3% growth from 16,050 units sold in October 2023, with an increase of 515 units. Following closely is the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which saw a significant rise, selling 16,419 units in October 2024 compared to 11,357 units in the same month last year.

Kia Sonet leads in YOY growth

The Tata Punch, Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV700, and Kia Sonet fill the remaining spots. Despite being tenth, the Kia Sonet saw the highest YOY growth, with a 49% increase, from 6,493 units in October 2023 to 9,699 units in October 2024.

Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon YoY growth slips down

The Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue saw a 13% and 6% YOY decline, selling 14,759 and 10,901 units in October 2024, compared to 16,887 and 11,581 units in October 2023.

Maruti Grand Vitara records highest MoM growth

Comparing September and October 2024 sales, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara saw the biggest jump, with 3,816 more units sold in October (14,083) compared to September (10,267). The Tata Nexon also saw a rise, selling 3,289 more units, from 11,470 in September to 14,759 in October.

Kia Sonet's MoM sales show a continued decrease

The Kia Sonet experienced a decline in sales, with 10,335 units sold in September 2024, dropping to 9,699 units in October.
