The Tata Sierra is all set to make the comeback with its traditional boxy SUV design and offer both ICE and EV propulsion systems
The new patent images from Tata Motors reveal the production-spec design of the upcoming Sierra SUV. As we mentioned earlier, it misses out a few signature design elements, which made the design of the Sierra different from the regular Tata SUVs.
The biggest change is the absence of the B-pillar window kink, which was a part of the concept design, and a rather important one given its resemblance to the OG Sierra SUV.
The patent image also reveals a clean and singular roofline, devoid of any segmented body panels, that were showcased with the concept model.
However, the rest of the design elements, which include the black applique surrounding the front fascial, flat side profile and large machined alloy wheels, are retained with the production design of the SUV.
The Tata Sierra India launch is likely to take place towards the end of 2025. It seems that Tata Motors may launch the Sierra before the Sierra EV.
