The Tata Punch has been a runaway success for the home-grown carmaker, ever since it was launched in 2021.
In less than 4 years since its launch, the company has managed to sell over 5 lakh units of the Tata Punch mini SUV. Over the years, the carmaker also introduced CNG and EV powertrain options.
Launched in October 2021, the Punch touched 1 lakh sales in August 2022, 2 lakh sales in May 2023, 3 lakh sales in December 2023, 4 lakh sales in July 2024 and 5 lakh sales in January 2025.
The Tata Punch petrol comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 86PS of power and 113Nm of torque. The engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.
The Tata Punch CNG makes use of the same petrol engine and adds the benefits of CNG, with its innovative twin CNG tank application, putting minimum compromise to boot space.
The Tata Punch is also available with an all-electric powertrain, boasting the significantly revised platform. The Punch.EV is available with two battery pack options — 25kWh and 35kWh — and offers a maximum claimed range of 421km.
