As per the latest reports, Tata is gearing up to launch the new Nexon iCNG in late September 2024 and will position it as the first CNG SUV in its segment. Having said this, here are the top 5 things we expect to see in the Nexon CNG.
From what we know so far, the new Nexon CNG will remain largely similar to its ICE siblings, save for a new i-CNG badge at the rear.
Likewise, no changes will be made to the interior of the Nexon CNG and it would be comparable to the standard versions. The Nexon CNG could offer features like an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, fully digital instrument console, 12.3-inch touchscreen system, wireless mobile connectivity, and more.
While Tata is yet to officially comment on the technical specifications, the new Nexon CNG will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which might be offered with a segment-first AMT option in addition to the standard manual gearbox.
The new Nexon iCNG will be the third Tata car in India to be offered with twin CNG technology and will boast an impressive and practical boot space.
While it is difficult to comment on the official pricing of the Nexon CNG, we expect the CNG variants to cost about Rs 80-90,000 more than the standard petrol variants.
