Tata.ev has shared a latest announcement about its plans to expand India’s charging infrastructure to 4,00,000 charge points by the year 2027, under its Open Collaboration 2.0 project.
The biggest news is Tata.ev’s aim to establish more than 4 lakh charge points across the country. It is worth mentioning that this figure will include chargers from Tata.ev as well as third party charging infrastructure providers.
Tata.ev will establish 30,000+ public charging stations across the country with its partners, which include CPOs like ChargeZone, Tata Power, Statiq and Zeon.
Tata.ev will also operationalize 500 Tata.ev DC Mega Chargers in 2 years, in the first phase. These chargers will be deployed across key cities and major highways and include 4 charging bays.
While the Tata.ev Mega Chargers will be open for all EV owners, Tata EV owners will be given priority access along with tariff benefits. These Mega Chargers will be easily located via Tata.ev mobile app.
Tata.ev has launched a new dedicated 24x7 charging helpline for any queries around EV charging. In addition, the carmaker will soon launch a unified payment wallet system for a seamless charging experience.
