The Curvv EV is Tata’s newest electric passenger vehicle in India, featuring a fresh body style, a purpose-built acti.ev platform, and tons of tech and safety features.
Bharat NCAP has released the crash test report of the Tata Curvv EV. The Curvv EV has been able to secure a 5-star safety rating, just like all the other Tata cars in India.
The Curvv scored five out of five stars for Adult Occupant Protection. It secured 30.81 points out of a maximum of 32 points.
The Child Occupant Protection rating stood at 5 starts as well, with the Curvv securing 44.83 points out of a maximum of 49 points. A detailed crash test report can be accessed from the BNCAP official website.
The Tata Curvv EV gets plenty of standard safety features including 6 airbags, ESP, disc brakes on all four wheels, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, and more. Optional features on higher variants include Level-2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, and more.
Crash test ratings aren’t the sole or the most accurate indicators that reflect how safe would the occupants be in the event of a crash. The Bharat NCAP test isn’t a comprehensive crash test. Also, other factors that should be considered in order to determine how safe a car is are driver comfort, driver assistance systems, structural integrity of the vehicle and more.
