While the spy shots do not reveal any testing equipment to the vehicle, the model captured in the spy shots is said to be the Curvv CNG. Once launched, it will rival the Maruti Grand Vitara CNG and Toyota Hyryder CNG.
The upcoming Tata Curvv CNG is likely to carry over the same powertrain that’s on offer with the Nexon CNG. Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine puts out 100PS of power and 170Nm of torque in the CNG mode.
The Tata Curvv CNG is likely to come with a dual CNG cylinder configuration. Since the Curvv has an impressive boot space of 500 litres, the CNG model will also offer respectable boot space, which would be a lot more than its rivals.
In typical Tata fashion, the Curvv CNG is likely to be offered in a range of variants, packing all the features. A few of these could include panoramic sunroof, powered tail gate, front ventilated seats, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered driver’s seat and more.
We expect Tata Motors to launch the Curvv CNG a couple of weeks after the launch of the Curvv Dark Edition, which has already started reaching dealerships.
