The Skoda Superb was awarded a 5 star safety rating by Euro NCAP, which is the maximum rating that a car can get in this test.
The model that was actually tested by Euro NCAP was a Volkswagen Passat estate. The same ratings apply to all Skoda Superb models, both of them being sister cars.
The Skoda Superb scored an impressive 93% in adult occupant protection, and 87% in child occupant protection.
The Superb scored 82% in vulnerable road users protection. It also scored 80% in safety assists.
The Skoda Superb has plenty of safety features on board, including collision avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control, adaptive lane assist, driver fatigue sensor, lane exit warning and others.
After a brief hiatus, the Skoda Superb was relaunched in India. This time, it came via the CBU route, resulting in a price bump to Rs 54 Lakh (ex-showroom).
