The Kylaq is Skoda’s all-new sub-compact SUV that is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI engine paired to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque convertor. The Kylaq measures 3,995mm in length, 1,783mm in width, 1,619mm in height, and has a wheelbase measuring 2,556mm. It sits on the India-spec MQB-A0-IN platform that it shares with the Kushaq, Slavia, Taigun, and Virtus.
The Kylaq will soon go up on sale and will be available in a choice of four variants — Classic, Signature, Signature +, and Prestige. Furthermore, it will be offered in five exterior colours, and the interior theme shall vary according to the trim chosen, just like the wheel design.
The Kylaq will also come equipped with features such as cooled glovebox, rear parking camera, rear USB Type C ports, keyless entry, LED headlamps, and LED rear lights, though the variants that these features will be offered on is not yet clear.
The Skoda Kylaq starting price in India has been set at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base-spec variant. Rest of the prices are yet to be announced by the carmaker. Bookings will open on December 2, 2024.
