The Altroz is one of the few hatchbacks left in the Indian market; the rest of the lot identify as SUVs, despite not being one. Should you still consider the Tata Altroz in 2025? Here’s what we think.
The Altroz is a pleasant car to drive and it handles pretty well. The ride quality is good, and the seats are comfortable, too. And if you’re of the enthusiast kind, there’s the Tata Altroz Racer as well.
Tata has stuffed the Altroz with features to the brim such as a 360-degree camera setup, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, automatic headlamps, a sunroof, 6 airbags, ventilated seats, and more.
The naturally-aspirated petrol engine on the Altroz feels unrefined and the rest of the cars in its segment get more refined four-cylinder motors.
While Tata offers countless Tata Altroz variants, just like it does for every other Tata car in India, there’s no option for an automatic gearbox with the turbocharged petrol and diesel engines.
We expect Tata to come up with a facelifted version of the Altroz in the next few months, and we suggest that you should wait for the updated car rather than going for the current model, if time allows.
