The Bigster is a 7-seater version of the Renault Duster SUV that is awaiting a launch in India in the upcoming months.
Reports suggest that Renault might also offer a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain on the Bigster and Duster SUVs in addition to standard petrol ones. The carmaker is yet to confirm the same though.
The Bigster looks like an elongated Duster, with a softer front end and a boxier rear end. There are distinctive triads all over the place, on the outside as well as the inside.
The interior gets a two-layered dashboard. Key Renault Bigster features include dual-zone climate control, a large touchscreen infotainment system, hexagonal digital driver’s display, an ADAS suite, and more.
Underpinning the Bigster and Duster SUVs is Nissan-Renault’s joint modular platform — CMF-B — that also underpins other global cars and SUVs from both automakers.
The Renault Bigster launch in India is expected to follow the Renault Duster India launch, which is likely to take place later this year or sometime next year.
