Based on the new-gen Renault Duster, the new Bigster SUV is essentially a three-row version of the SUV and will make debut next month in its production-ready avatar.
While the Bigster 7-seater SUV shares most of its components and underpinnings with the new-gen Duster, including the CMF-B platform, it does get a more premium cabin and some cosmetic updates.
Despite sharing its underpinnings with the Duster SUV, the new Bigster is around 300mm longer than the Duster and measures 4.6 metres in length. It also boasts a longer wheelbase and larger rear doors than the Duster.
Under the hood, the Bigster SUV is likely to get the same engine options as the new-gen Duster. These include a 1.2-litre and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine options.
Despite not getting a proper 4X4 setup like the Jimny, the Bigster is likely to be offered with 4X2 and 4X4 options in addition to the terrain modes that include Auto, Snow, Mud/Snow, off-road and Eco.
While Renault is yet to comment on the launch of a new 7-seater SUV, the brand is said to be considering launching the new-gen Renault Duster in second half of 2025. If launched in India, the Bigster will only make debut after the Duster.
