Nissan is set to launch the facelifted version of its popular compact SUV, the Magnite, on October 4. While the facelift brings minor cosmetic changes, there will be no mechanical updates.
The facelifted Nissan Magnite will sport a mildly refreshed front bumper and grille assembly. While the headlamps retain their shape, the LED daytime running lamps will get a new signature design. Additionally, the facelift is expected to come with a new set of alloy wheels.
Inside, changes will be minimal. The dashboard will remain mostly unchanged, but new trim pieces and some added features will be introduced.
With the launch of the facelift, Nissan will begin producing left-hand drive (LHD) versions of the Magnite in India, alongside the right-hand drive (RHD) variants, for exports.
Mechanically, the Nissan Magnite facelift remains the same. The 1.0-litre petrol engine lineup will continue, with the naturally aspirated engine delivering 72hp and 96Nm, while the turbocharged version produces 100hp and 160Nm. The existing gearboxes will also be carried over.
The Nissan Magnite facelift will maintain its position as one of the most affordable compact SUVs in India. It will continue to compete in a highly competitive segment, alongside SUVs like the Renault Kiger, Maruti Fronx, Tata Punch, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon.
Mark your calendars for October 4, when Nissan is likely to reveal the prices for the facelifted Magnite. With only cosmetic updates, it continues to offer affordability and practicality, making it a strong contender in India's compact SUV market.
