A new online report confirms Nissan India’s plan to launch its Ariya EV via the CBU route. The Ariya EV is said to sit above the X-Trail and come to India in limited numbers.
The Nissan Ariya EV is Nissan’s flagship EV and showcases the Japanese carmaker’s best design and technology. It boasts a coupe-esque design language with a tapering roof line.
The exterior design of the Ariya EV features sleek LED lighting up front, the new iteration of Nissan’s V-motion grille and a wraparound wedge shaped silhouette for better aerodynamic efficiency.
The interior of the Nissan Ariya EV offers a new dashboard layout, which is unique to the Ariya EV. It features a connected curved screen incorporating a digital driver’s display and large touchscreen infotainment system.
Given its electric underpinnings, the Nissan Ariya EV keeps sustainability at its core. It features wooden inserts which also incorporate capacitive controls for multiple vital functions of the electric SUV.
The Nissan Ariya EV comes with two battery pack options — 66kWh and 91kWh. The larger battery pack offers a claimed range of 490km on a single charge. It is also capable of charging its battery at speed of up to 130kW, taking the battery from 20-80% in 40 minutes.
