Volvo has launched a facelifted version of its top-of-the-line SUV in India, the Volvo XC90. It goes against the likes of popular premium SUVs in India such as the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and BMW X5.
The more noticeable changes are on the front, with a new grille, new T-shaped headlamps, and reprofiled bumpers. Other changes include tweaked rear lamps and a new design for the alloy wheels.
The interior looks similar to the outgoing model, with key Volvo XC90 facelift features being a bigger 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment setup, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a premium sound system, memory function for the seats, and more.
There’s no doubt that the Volvo XC90 is one of the safest cars in India. Key Volvo XC90 safety features include multiple airbags, front and rear parking sensors, hill-descent control, a 360-degree camera setup, Level-2 ADAS functionalities like adaptive cruise control, and more.
The updated XC90 retains its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that comes paired to a 48-Volt mild-hybrid system and an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends the power to all four wheels. The engine has a maximum power output of 253PS and 360Nm of peak torque.
The new Volvo XC90 facelift price in India starts at Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Volvo XC90 colour options include Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk, Vapour Grey, and a new Mulberry Red.
