A few weeks after the launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda has given its sub-compact sedan a generational update. The new Honda Amaze has been launched in India in its third generation, featuring a slew of upgrades over the outgoing model.
The design of the new Amaze has been heavily influenced by that of its elder siblings — Honda Elevate and Honda City. The overall design looks quite upmarket and appealing, with a strong defining shoulder line on the side and new 15-inch alloy wheels.
There’s a new interior, too! The dashboard layout has been tweaked with a floating infotainment screen and rectangular AC vents. Key features include a camera-based ADAS suite, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, 6-speakers, 6 airbags as standard, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, lane watch camera, and LED headlamps.
The updated Amaze continues to be powered by Honda’s 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that has been tuned to produce 90PS of maximum power and 110Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. There’s still no CNG option offered from the factory.
The starting price of the 2025 Honda Amaze has been set at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the maxed-out variant is priced at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There are three trims and six colour options available. A detailed Honda Amaze price list is given above. Would you pick this over the new Dzire? Let us know!
