Mini has launched the hatchback and convertible versions of the new Mini Cooper JCW, which are the performance-oriented trims of the standard Mini Cooper. Here’s everything you need to know about these hot hatches.
The new Mini Cooper JCW comes equipped with the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol as the standard Mini Cooper S, but has been tuned to produce more power and torque. The said engine produces 234PS of maximum power and 380Nm of maximum torque. The convertible version produces 231PS of maximum power while the torque output remains the same.
The Mini Cooper JCW can reach triple digit speeds in just 6.1 seconds and has a top speed of 249kmph. The Mini Cooper JCW convertible can do the same in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 245kmph.
The new Cooper JCW gets a black-themed interior with red inserts throughout the cabin because those are the colours that are supposed to be on a sporty car, aren’t they? It gets an identical dashboard layout as the standard Mini Cooper S.
The Mini Cooper JCW gets a rear spoiler, JCW-specific 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels, a centre-mounted exhaust, JCW-specific LED DRLs, a black rear diffuser, and more.
The 2024 Mini Cooper JCW gets an ADAS suite that makes use of both radars and cameras, dynamic stability control, TPMS, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and more features.
