Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The Ertiga is not only Maruti Suzuki’s but India’s best selling MPV, which is not very surprising considering the fact that majority of the best selling cars in India are Marutis. Anyway, the Maruti Ertiga is a sorted package and comes at a starting price of Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it appealing to a wide audience of commercial as well as private buyers.

Upcoming Ertiga generational update

The current model of the Ertiga has been on the market since 2018 and despite undergoing a facelift in 2022, it feels a bit outdated when compared to its competitors like the Kia Carens. Maruti Suzuki is expected to give the Ertiga a generational update next year, and a test mule has been reportedly seen at the automaker’s R&D centre in Rohtak by one of our sources.

New Ertiga design changes

The exterior of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is likely to get a thorough redesign with modern-looking elements such as connected light bars and sleek DRLs. It can definitely take some inspiration from the new BYD eMax 7, which is essentially a facelift of the e6 with a much cleaner and attractive styling.

2025 Maruti Ertiga interior

The interior screams the need for a redesign much more than the exterior, and we expect Maruti to use materials that look a bit more premium, at least on the higher trims. A tweaked dashboard layout would also give a fresh look to the MPV.

New Ertiga feature additions

Some of the key expected feature additions on the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ertiga include a sunroof, curtain airbags, a bigger infotainment screen, and 360-degree cameras. Maruti is also likely to offer more safety features as standard, along with a tougher body shell for better safety.

Upcoming Maruti Ertiga engine details

The new Ertiga is likely to retain the K15C petrol engine that debuted on the Ertiga in its 2022 facelift guise. The CNG variants would also be continued, owing to the handsome sales numbers that they bring in.
