Kia had launched the new generation of the Carnival MPV a few days back. It has now revealed the official ARAI claimed mileage figure for the same. And, it’s higher than the one for the previous generation.
The claimed Kia Carnival mileage figure as per ARAI stands at 14.85kmpl. Please note that this is a laboratory-tested figure and the real-life figure shall vary depending upon road conditions, driving mannerisms, and other factors.
The claimed fuel efficiency figure of the previous generation Kia Carnival was 13.90kmpl, which was 0.95kmpl less than that of the current generation.
The new Carnival gets the same 2.2-litre diesel engine, but it now gets a lighter aluminium block in place of a cast iron one. Paired to an 8-speed AT, the four-cylinder unit generates maximum power and torque outputs of 193PS and 441Nm respectively.
While Kia had initially released a brochure featuring the Limousine and Limousine Plus variants of the new Carnival, it subsequently launched only the latter, with two options for the exterior colour — Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl.
The new Kia Carnival Limousine Plus price in India stands at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), but you would have to wait for around six months to get one in your garage.
