Honda Cars India is all set to launch the next generation Amaze on December 4, 2024. The updated Amaze will get a host of changes over the outgoing model, including a revamped design, added features, and more.
Ahead of its official launch in December, Honda recently released a couple of sketches from the design process of the new Amaze. The sketches gave us a hint of what the new Amaze would look like.
Honda teased the possibility of an ADAS suite on the upcoming Amaze, as the lane keeping assist indicator can be seen on the digital driver’s display. The Honda City and Elevate also get a few ADAS functionalities, but these are camera-based and not radar-based.
The new Honda Amaze is likely to retain the same engine that is available on the current model, which is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol unit that puts out 90PS of maximum power and 110Nm of maximum torque. Honda should also launch a CNG version to widen the sedan’s appeal in the Indian market.
Honda is going to launch the new Amaze on December 4, 2024. Once launched, it will go against the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which has taken everybody by surprise with a 5-star safety rating from GNCAP and a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 6.79 lakh.
Honda currently has only three cars on sale in India — City, Elevate, and Amaze. The Amaze is the brand’s highest-selling car, followed by the Elevate and then the City. There’s also a hybrid option available for the City.
