MSIL has revealed the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire ahead of its official launch scheduled for November 11, 2024. The updated Dzire gets plenty of changes on the inside, outside, as well as for the powertrain.
The new Dzire measures identical to the old one, except for the height, which has been raised by 10mm. It shares the Heartect platform with its hatchback counterpart, the Maruti Swift, which also underwent a generational update a few months back.
The new Suzuki Dzire gets a complete design overhaul, featuring new angular headlamps connected by a thin chrome bar, and a large front grille. The RS e-tron-like rear lights are also connected by a chrome bar, and there’s a spoiler placed on the boot lid. There’s a shark fin antenna on the top and a fresh design for the alloy wheels.
The new Dzire gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-Series engine that also does duty on the new Maruti Suzuki Swift. This engine produces a maximum power output of 82PS and a peak torque of 111.7Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. A CNG option is also expected to be launched soon.
There’s a light-themed interior with black plastic, chrome, and wooden inserts on the dashboard and door panels. There’s a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with analogue dials and a small MID display for the driver. Other features include 6 airbags, rear defogger, sunroof, hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera setup, and more.
The official launch is scheduled to take place on November 11, 2024 at Delhi. Prices shall be revealed on the same date, while bookings have already been opened at a booking amount of Rs 11,000.
