Positioned as Honda’s go-anywhere SUV, the new Honda Passport SUV is now bigger and better than its predecessor. Here is everything you need to know about it.
Unlike before, the new 2025 Passport SUV ditches the crossover-like look and boasts a more aggressive and muscular styling that gives it a rugged road presence. For starters, it gets a boxy front along with an upright grille with two slats and Honda’s logo in the centre.
On the sides, the new Honda Passport features a similar boxy styling complemented by flared fenders, plastic cladding around the wheel arches, and multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets a wraparound windscreen along with black contrasting trim above the registration plate and a chunky bumper with a faux silver skid plate.
Inside, just like other global Honda cars, the new Passport SUV boasts a well-appointed cabin with physical controls and sorted ergonomics. The all-black colour scheme with contrasting shades and stitching looks elegant while taking the centre stage is a 12.4-inch infotainment screen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
Powering this new Honda SUV is a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with a claimed power output of 285hp. This engine is offered with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and does duty on multiple other Honda models globally.
For those looking for better off-road capabilities, the new Passport also gets a Trailsport edition which not only gets updated exterior styling to complement its rugged character, but also boasts a different suspension setup tuned for off-roading. The changes continue inside too to further differentiate this model from the standard versions.
The new Honda Passport SUV is aimed at the North American market only and will not be launched in the Indian market anytime soon. The Japanese carmaker however is currently preparing to launch the new Amaze sedan on December 4, 2024.
