Hyundai India recently updated the Alcazar, which is essentially a 6/7 seater version of the Hyundai Creta. But, that is not the whole picture. The Alcazar offers quite a different value proposition than the Creta. Here’s a quick comparison between these two Hyundai SUVs in India.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is 230mm longer, 10mm wider and 75mm taller than the 2024 Hyundai Creta. It also has a 150mm longer wheelbase that directly translates into a more spacious cabin. The Alcazar also gets bigger tyres to complement the bigger body size.
In addition to the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines that are also available on the Hyundai Alcazar, the Creta gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as an option, which can be paired to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an IVT. Notably, you can get the Alcazar turbo-petrol with a manual shifter but the same option is not on offer on the Creta.
The new Alcazar is a clear winner in terms of providing features, boasting some exclusive ones like an electric boss mode, first & second row ventilated seats, NFC-based digital key, extendable under-thigh support for rear seats and foldable trays & cub holders.
The Hyundai Creta price ranges between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 20.29 lakh, while the Hyundai Alcazar price ranges between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 21.54 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Alcazar seems to be a better choice for the features that it provides at a premium of just under Rs 1.5 lakh. But, if you’re looking for a diesel car, the Creta might be the better option for you as the Hyundai Alcazar diesel misses out on the panoramic sunroof as well as the spare tyre.
